Monty’s Dog Beach & Bar - Long Beach: Dog-Friendly Beachside Bar with Creative Cocktails & Gourmet Pizzas

I discovered this place while riding my bike on the bike path. It was right on the beach and had a great vibe so after viewing the menu I decided to come back later with my girlfriend. We were warmly greeted by the lovely bartender Chelsea and I ordered an Arnold Palmer & a vanilla ice cream root beer float along with a Margherita pizza and a Diavola pizza. David the chef personally brought out the delicious pizza and proudly told us he made them himself. We tasted the pizza and it was delicious. We complimented David on his excellent culinary skills. As we were enjoying our visit the Manager Adam stopped by our table and asked how everything was and we let him know we were having a great time. You told him it was our first visit and he welcomed us and gave us some menu recommendations. He was very accommodating and welcoming and made us feel comfortable. He also thanked us for giving them a try. We love the food! Awesome atmosphere!! We will be back!!

This place is fantastic!! Food was delicious. The dogs loved the dogtini and the bounce burger. It's really clean for a dog beach bar! All the dogs were friendly. Drinks are great! Perfect spot!!!!

What a fun place! If you read articles on up and coming spots, LB is usually at the top now. After going to Monty’s and spending more time here in general, I can see why. The atmosphere here is fun-all the tables are in the sand and cute pups everywhere. The bartenders and servers are friendly, the drinks are great. Not always a 10/10 flavor profile wise, but definitely boozy and beach-worthy. Their menu is different with offerings like shrimp and salmon burgers. I got the salmon burger and it was a slightly more fishy than I was expecting from salmon, but tasty and I would try again. Can’t wait to go back! Ps you gotta get the Hugo spritz

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dog-friendly paradise with serious vibes! This place is adorable like a beach club for both humans and their pups! There are tons of cozy chairs and loungers for people and even fun little dog chairs for your furry sidekick to chill in. The sand is soft, the drinks look amazing (hello, beach cocktails!), and they had a DJ spinning great music that made the whole place feel like a mini vacation. It’s a total vibe perfect for letting your dog run free while you kick back with a cocktail. There were fun agility features like balancing beams and jump-through tires for the pups to play on, and the whole space just felt happy, social, and welcoming. Honestly, it also seems like a great spot for singles with dogs people were super friendly, and everyone already has something in common: loving dogs and good vibes. Highly recommend for a sunny afternoon of dog friendly fun, whether you’re there to relax, socialize, or just treat your pup to the good life.

Delightful little beach bar with live music. Where else can you have cocktails on the beach while your dog tries her paws at agility? Bar food was fine, but come for the great vibes & maybe some Sangria or an Aperol Spritz

The Monty’s experience, though room for improvement, was excellent! Super chill beach cafe, with plenty of seating from tables to lounge chairs to high tops. There’s even a chaise lounge for the pups! So cute. Also not to be missed, the dog agility course. Super dog friendly, obviously, as it’s right on Rosie’s Dog Beach. There was a little bit of a line (I think there was a new employee in training, which slowed things down, hahaha) but service was otherwise fine. There was even a DJ there, which was super awesome!! The menu itself is not extensive, and can be considered to be on the pricier side. We got the Meat Lovers Pizza for $25 and a couple of drinks. The pizza was good! Thin crust, not overly greasy, and 8 slices was plenty big for two people. Patrons around us ordered burgers and those looked pretty good! If you’re in the area with Fido, this is a must stop!

Really fun spot to relax with your pup on the beach chairs in the sand. My husky loved her pup cup that included a dog popsicle, lots of treats, and whipped cream. The drinks are affordable, and the food we tried was very good - the hummus platter was an A+. The live music/DJ contribute to the great vibes.
